We (my wife and I) could not speak more highly of Des, and our home-hunting, and subsequent home-buying, experience with him. Desmond is the best realtor in Washington, DC and I can't say enough good things about him. I worked with him during 2 home-buying and 1 home-selling process and I will never work with anyone else. I entered all of these situations with ideas about what I was looking for, and he patiently worked with me to figure out the best strategies and places to compromise so that I got what I wanted. Des saved me from making a $50,000 mistake. Before I met him, I was shopping for condos by myself and had nearly purchased a unit when a friend recommended I speak with their realtor. After telling him about my plans for the property, Des calmly explained to me why the property would struggle to resell and that I might be locking myself into the property if i moved forward. A couple months later, that property is still on the market with a sales price that is $50,000 less than I was planning to purchase it at. I don't anticipate it will sell anytime soon. In addition to me being thankful for having him as an advocate, I also found him to be warm and approachable and willing to help on real estate investment questions. He helped me branch out from my condo search to discover a wonderful townhome that I had no idea would be available to me at the price range I knew I could afford. He also got me what I think was the best possible deal on the house. Even after closing on my townhome, Des has been responsive on follow-up requests for assistance, such as getting in contact with the previous homeowners to remove their parking registration on the property. When I begin looking for a new investment property in a few years, I'll be reaching out to him for assistance again!

Each time, he worked to understand my needs and desires and supported me in the process of finding a home and investment that would serve me well. At times, I came up with grand ideas of why a home was the perfect fit, and Des would always empower me to make the decision that was best for me while reminding me of what my goals were to create a sound investment.
